It captures a member of the US Navy special forces of the period of the war in Vietnam with a Stoner 63 weapon, that is with the light machine gun most associated with these units. The maker is Bravo 6. It is an accessory for a diorama or a separate vignette, not a kit of a vehicle.
The figure is sculpted in the light equipment characteristic of patrol work: clothing with no heavy load-bearing system, pouches, soft headgear and the weapon carried at the ready. A single figure is rewarding exactly as the main character of a small scene: it can be placed on the bow of a boat, on a bank or by vegetation. The detail of the folds and the straps is cast directly into the parts, so what decides the final effect is above all the quality of the painting.
Wash the casting in lukewarm water with detergent, cut the casting blocks off, sand the surface and protect your airways while sanding resin. It is glued with cyanoacrylate; fill any seams with modeling putty. Apply a primer before painting, ideally with an airbrush. Build the clothing from a base tone through shading into highlights and build the skin in thin coats: with a single figure it pays to give the face more time, because it carries the whole scene. Paint the weapon with a dark base and gentle highlighting of the edges. Finally, even the surface out with a matte varnish.
