This figure brings the heaviest piece of armament of the whole group into a scene. It shows an American paratrooper who, according to the name, is carrying a machine gun, and in the numbered Normandy line of the Dynamo-Models brand it stands in seventh place. It is sold separately, as a figure to complete a diorama of your own.
A man with the main weapon typically walks differently from the others: the weight pushes him to one side, the shoulder is raised and the torso is slightly twisted. It is exactly this movement that turns several standing figures into a living group. Paired with the tripod carrier and the loader it forms a complete section, the individual numbers of which the line offers separately, so you can put the group together exactly according to how much room you have on the piece.
The barrel and the receiver hold the darkest tone of the whole piece, so leave them until the end and separate them from the cloth with a sharp division. Brighten the blouse on the shoulders and on the backs of the sleeves, where a strap would have worn the cloth. Dust the footwear with a shade that goes with the base of the scene; otherwise the figure will look as though it has merely been set down on the terrain. This single step decides whether the figure belongs to the piece.
