A resin kit of the American field power unit with the designation M5 in 1:35 scale from the production of the Czech manufacturer Plusmodel. Small rear area equipment is the domain of this brand, and it is exactly such pieces of equipment that give dioramas a credibility that tanks on their own will not provide.
A modern army cannot do without electric power, and the American army of the Second World War was a model of the mechanization of the rear. Mobile generating sets powered lighting, signals equipment, workshop equipment and the facilities of staffs, everywhere the electricity network did not reach. That is exactly why a field source of power belongs in every scene capturing an airfield, a workshop, a signals post or a staff camp.
Wash the resin parts free of the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. The basis is olive green; equipment running for whole days in the field deserves traces of use, that is greasy shadows around the engine section, scuffs on the edges and dust applied with a wash and pigments. It looks effective with cabling of copper wire strung from it to a tent or a workshop.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, the parts are of resin. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
