Deposits of dust differ according to the terrain, and that is why the range has two dust tones; Dust Type 2 is the second one: a water-based acrylic paint for the dusty surfaces of models.

Having a single dust in stock is not enough. The terrain, the season and the subsoil shift the color of settled dust so much that a model treated with one tone looks the same every time, wherever it stands. Dust Type 2 is a water-based acrylic paint that complements the first dust type with a different position of the same phenomenon. That is exactly why dust shades are offered in variants: each corresponds to a different subsoil.
Two dusts side by side
Convincing results arise when both dust tones meet on a model. One lays down the overall deposit, the other shifts it elsewhere in the places of contact with the terrain, and the area stops acting uniform. The second tone will serve just as well on its own if the reference stood in surroundings it corresponds to more closely. It pays to proceed from light deposits to heavier ones and to judge the area from a distance as you go, because dust is easily overdone on a model.
The paint will be used by modelers of military vehicles and makers of scenes who want to grade the weathering, not merely to suggest it. It also suits collectors who are finishing completed models and need to match the dust on a vehicle with the dust on its base.
Keep out of the reach of children and do not swallow. When spraying, work in a ventilated area and protect your airways.
