This is a photo-etched detail set from Tetra Model Works, not a vehicle model. The set in thin brass sheet is cut to suit one particular plastic kit of the American M10 tank destroyer in 1:35 scale and sharpens up the fine elements of the open turret and the hull: tool clamps, covers, lifting eyes and platforms. The set is meant for the Tamiya 35350 kit.
The M10 was an American tank destroyer of the period of the Second World War built on the chassis of the Sherman medium tank. Its characteristic feature was the open pentagonal turret with a 76.2 mm (3 inch) gun. The vehicle was deployed on both the European and the Mediterranean fronts, and with British units it carried the nickname Wolverine.
The photo-etched parts in thin brass sheet are separated with a sharp knife on a hard surface, bent over an edge or in a bending tool and bonded best with super glue (cyanoacrylate). It is a good idea to degrease both the photo-etch and the plastic before gluing. Because the set is cut to suit that kit, the parts usually seat exactly; in the open turret the photo-etched details then stay in full view. The finished surface is treated with a primer and sprayed with an airbrush, and the weathering is built up with washes and pigments.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
