A model of the American M13 trailer with a tandem axle in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The American trailer with the designation M13 stands on a tandem axle, that is on two axles placed close one behind the other. Such an arrangement spreads the weight of the load over more wheels, reduces the pressure on one place and the trailer behaves more calmly behind the towing vehicle. Its recognition mark is therefore the short wheelbase between the two axles and a load bed set low.
A model of the trailer in 1:35 scale, that is in the same scale in which most military models and figures are issued. In a scene it can be coupled behind a truck, or stood uncoupled with the drawbar propped up. The list of parts and the build procedure are stated in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the area with fine sandpaper. Before painting, wash and degrease the parts, otherwise paint holds badly on a smooth surface. Let the running gear harden on a flat base so that all four wheels sit down, otherwise the trailer will stand crooked in the scene. After painting a dark wash into the joints of the load bed pays off, and dust or mud on the wheels and the fenders. If you couple the trailer behind a vehicle, check the height of the towing eye in advance, so that the drawbar does not point up at an angle.
The set suits modelers who build American equipment in 1:35 scale, and builders of dioramas whose scene lacks a parked trailer. Paints, glue and the towing vehicle are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
