1:35 Bergepanther Ausf. A, late configuration — photo-etched set from Voyager Model is an accessory for a plastic kit you already own, not a model. The basic set of photo-etched brass replaces selected plastic parts with thinner and more accurate ones and is cut for the Meng SS-015 kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an aftermarket detail set, not a standalone model. The package holds parts etched from thin brass sheet in 1:35 scale, which are fitted to the finished Meng SS-015 plastic kit. The manufacturer uses the Basic designation for sets in the basic scope.
The Bergepanther was a German recovery vehicle of the Second World War built on the chassis of the Panther tank. Instead of a turret it carried an open superstructure with a winch, and at the rear an earth spade that served as a brace while pulling. The late configuration of the A version differs from the earlier batches in details of the superstructure and in the placement of the tool clamps taken over from the later Panthers. It is precisely such small items that photo-etched sets deal with.
Once etched, brass is springy and longer parts are inclined to return to their original shape. Brief annealing over a flame or with a hot-air gun softens the material and the bends then hold by themselves. Separate the parts with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface, and never break them out by twisting, because the dents left by breaking them out are clearly visible once painted. Glue with thin cyanoacrylate dispensed a drop at a time from a toothpick or a wire; excess wicks into the engraved lines and blocks them.
The set is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The kit, glue, paints and tools are not included in the package.
