E.T. Model 1:35 WWII German Pz.Kpfw.I Ausf.A Basic (Early Production) Value Package is an extended photo-etched detail set for a model of the German light tank in its early production form.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from E.T. Model adds parts of thin photo-etched sheet to a model of the light tank. On a small vehicle the thickness of the material is especially plain, so photo-etched fenders, cooling covers, grilles, tool brackets and small lifting eyes change the overall impression more markedly than they do on large machines. The designation for the extended package means a more comprehensive conception of the set, and the form matches the early production batch of the vehicle.
The Pz.Kpfw.I Ausf.A is a German light tank of the 1930s with a two-man crew, a rotating turret with machine gun armament and light armor. It came about above all as a training and interim vehicle for building up armored units, and its design is based on a small chassis with spring suspension and an external girder carrying the road wheels. The early vehicles differ from the later ones in the arrangement of the cooling and in details of the hull.
Separate the parts with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface and fold them in a bender or between blades, so that the edges are straight. Use cyanoacrylate applied on a pin for gluing. A small model will take only a little excess glue, so work sparingly. Apply a base coat suitable for metal before painting. The thin fenders can be bent slightly before gluing to suggest service wear; then bring the edges out with a drybrush in a lighter shade.
An accessory photo-etched set, not a complete kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
