About product

German towing cable eyes 1:35 (3D print, Eduard)

This set brings precisely 3D-printed resin eyes (end fittings) for the towing cables of German fighting vehicles of the Second World War in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit of a vehicle but a detailing accessory that replaces coarser plastic parts and makes it possible to create a realistic towing cable from your own cord or wire.

What it is for

Towing cables were part of the basic equipment of tanks and half-tracks and were usually fastened on the sides or at the rear of the hull. Fine printed end fittings markedly raise the credibility of a model where the plastic parts from the mold are simplified. The eyes are fitted onto a cable the user has prepared and glued to the brackets on the vehicle.

Tips for working with resin

First wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent to remove any residue from printing, carefully separate them from the print supports and dry-fit them. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand and cut resin with your airways protected. Before painting we recommend a primer for perfect adhesion of the paint.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers building German armored vehicles of the Second World War
  • More advanced builders who want to replace simplified plastic details
  • Makers of dioramas with an emphasis on true vehicle equipment

This is an accessory set, not a stand-alone model. The cable, glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.

FAQ

No. It is a detailing accessory, specifically 3D-printed end eyes for towing cables. The vehicle itself has to be had from another kit.

Best super glue (cyanoacrylate). Classic cement for plastic does not work on resin.

The package holds the resin end eyes. You prepare the cable itself from cord or wire according to the type of vehicle.
