This is a resin gun barrel in 1:35 scale from the Polish maker Panzer Art. It is not a model but an accessory that replaces the plastic barrel in a base kit. It represents the Soviet 76.2 mm ZiS-3 divisional gun, in the version with the barrel partly covered by a canvas sleeve, as they were used in the field to protect it from dirt and cold.
The casting captures both the shape of the barrel and a realistic fold in the canvas, which would be difficult to model in plastic. It raises the realism of a finished gun or of a scene with its crew.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin casting. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
