This is a set of turned metal (brass) naval gun barrels in 1:350 scale, not a ship kit. The set contains eight barrels of the British 4.7 inch (120 mm) QF quick-firing gun of the kind carried by a range of Royal Navy destroyers. The metal barrels have precisely drilled muzzles and a perfectly circular cross section with none of the parting seam that has to be laboriously sanded off plastic. They are made by MASTER, the Polish specialist in turned and etched ship accessories.
The British 4.7 inch QF gun was the standard main armament of many interwar and wartime Royal Navy destroyers, from the A to I classes through to the Tribals and others. The slender barrels are very visible on a model, so swapping them for metal ones makes a marked difference to the finished look.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
