Eduard 1:350 CVN-65 Enterprise pt.3 is a photo-etched set for a model of the American nuclear aircraft carrier USS Enterprise. The third part of a series of accessories, not a model of the ship.

A set of photo-etched metal parts from the Czech maker Eduard intended for completing a plastic model of the American aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN-65) in 1:350 scale. The designation pt.3 means that this is the third part of a connected line of sets; the maker split the treatment of this very large ship into several packages so as to cover the superstructure and the island as well as the flight deck and its equipment. It is not a model of the ship but an accessory to a kit already bought.
USS Enterprise was the first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier in the world. She entered service in 1961 and, at over three hundred meters long, remained the longest warship of her time. She was distinctive for her original boxy island with flat radar antennas; that was rebuilt into a more conventional form during later modernizations. She spent more than half a century in service and was decommissioned in 2017. The model in 1:350 scale measures around ninety centimeters, so fine photo-etched detail shows well on it.
With ship photo-etch it pays to work from the stern toward the bow and to fit the parts only after the basic areas have been sprayed, otherwise they are easily bent. Make the bends in a bender and leave long elements on the fret as long as possible. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue applied in a minimal amount with the tip of a wire. Degrease the metal and prime it with a primer for metal, otherwise the paint will rub off during handling. At the end a fine wash helps to bring out the structures, along with a matte varnish that unifies the surface of metal and plastic.
It is not a kit of the ship but an accessory set. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
