An injection-molded plastic kit of the British light anti-aircraft cruiser HMS Scylla of the Dido class in 1:350 scale from the Trumpeter brand. The package contains plastic parts, photo-etched parts for the fine details, decals and a base for display. Glue and paints are not included.
HMS Scylla was a light cruiser of the Royal Navy of the Dido class launched in 1940. During the Second World War it took part in a number of operations, including the Arctic convoys, actions in the Mediterranean and covering the Normandy landings. The Dido class was valued for its strong anti-aircraft armament.
It is advisable to finish and paint the decks and the superstructures step by step, before the final assembly. Bond the fine photo-etched parts, such as the railings, with super glue. Apply a primer before painting; an airbrush will manage the spraying of camouflage schemes best. Display the finished model on the enclosed stand. For a more striking look, emphasize the panel lines and grade the shades of the hull and the superstructures according to period photographs.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
