About product

25mm Anti-Aircraft Gun Type 96 (Triple), 1:350 (Eduard)

This 3D-printed resin set reproduces the triple-barreled version of the 25mm anti-aircraft gun Type 96 of the Imperial Japanese Navy in 1:350 scale. It is typically combined with fine photo-etched parts that make the barrels, mount, and shield far more accurate than injection-molded plastic.

The Real Subject

The 25mm Type 96 gun was the standard light anti-aircraft weapon of the Japanese fleet during the Second World War. It was mounted in single, twin, and triple configurations, and large vessels carried great numbers of them.

Building and Painting Tips

Remove the small parts from the print supports and bend any photo-etch precisely to shape. Glue with cyanoacrylate. It is practical to paint the assemblies before mounting them on deck.

Who the Set Is For

  • Builders of IJN ship models in 1:350 scale
  • Anyone interested in realistic light anti-aircraft armament
  • More experienced modelers working with resin and photo-etch

The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, and the base model are not included in the package.
