The photo-etched set Eduard 1:350 Liberty Ship brings fine detail for a plastic model of the American Liberty class cargo ship of the Second World War. It is an accessory, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of photo-etched parts from Eduard in 1:350 scale serves to render a model of a Liberty class cargo ship in greater detail. It is not a ship model but an accessory for a finished plastic kit. Detail sets of this type usually bring railings, ladders, platforms, deck and crane fittings and other fine elements that injection-molded plastic cannot capture.
Liberty class ships were American cargo steamers built in bulk during the Second World War to supply the Allies. Hundreds of them came about thanks to welded construction and a simplified standardized build that allowed exceptionally fast production. They became a symbol of Allied war industry and of keeping the overseas supply routes open.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife, bend the fine pieces over a bending tool and bond them with tiny drops of super glue (cyanoacrylate). Work section by section and hold the small parts with tweezers. It is best to lay the paint on with an airbrush only after gluing, so that the detail stays clean.
This is an accessory photo-etched set, not a kit. The ship model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
