Injection-molded plastic kit of the Alfa class nuclear attack submarine in 1:350 scale from Hobby Boss. The model has a full hull with smooth contours and comes with photo-etched parts and a stand. It is meant to be assembled, painted and displayed.
Alfa is the NATO code name for the Soviet class of Project 705 nuclear attack submarines. They were marked out by a titanium hull, high speed and the ability to dive to great depths, which made them some of the fastest and deepest-diving combat submarines of their day. They were built for a rapid strike against both surface and submarine targets.
Glue the hull halves with thin cement, then sand and clean up the joint carefully so that the smooth hydrodynamic shape comes through. A primer and an airbrush are the way to go; a single matte shade comes to life with discreet highlighting of the hatches and the sail. Glue the photo-etched propeller and the small parts with cyanoacrylate glue and set the model on the supplied stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
