A set of precisely turned metal gun barrels in 1:350 scale from the Polish maker MASTER, intended to refine a model of the Austro-Hungarian dreadnought battleship SMS Viribus Unitis. This is not a model of the ship but a detail accessory, a set of replacement naval gun barrels that take the place of the coarser plastic barrels from the box and give the model a sharp, realistic look. The set includes the barrels of the 305 mm main guns as well as smaller calibers. It is made for a particular model from the matching manufacturer. Check the exact number and make-up of the barrels against the manufacturer's part number for this item. The set is prepared for the Viribus Unitis kit from Trumpeter.
Cut the original plastic barrel off, drill a hole into the remaining chamber and glue the metal barrel in with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the metal before gluing and before painting. Metal barrels hold paint well once a primer has been applied.
For modelers and collectors who want better gunnery on a Viribus Unitis model. The ship model, glue and paints are not part of this set.
This is a modeling accessory (turned metal barrels), not a model. A matching ship model is needed to use it.
