Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese heavy cruiser Takao in her form of 1942, in 1:350, from the production of the Japanese manufacturer Aoshima. It is a newer release with sharp molding. The package contains among other things shipboard floatplanes (reconnaissance seaplanes), decals and a base for display; check the exact contents and the number of parts against the manufacturer's data for this item.
Takao was the lead ship of the class of the same name of Japanese heavy cruisers of the thirties, which were marked out by a massive superstructure and by strong gun and torpedo armament. During the Second World War Takao took part in a number of operations in the Pacific; the form of 1942 corresponds to the period of her active combat service. After heavy damage in 1944 she served as a stationary floating battery.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with a thin cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting and spray with an airbrush; paint the deck and the superstructures before the final assembly. A darker gray is typical for Japanese cruisers; bring out the lines and the details with a wash. The instructions are usually in Japanese, but the illustrations are clear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
