A wooden deck with masking stencils for a model of the American aircraft carrier CV-13 Franklin in 1:350 scale, prepared for the Trumpeter 05604 kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
CV-13 Franklin was an American aircraft carrier of the Second World War. Ships of this type had their flight deck laid from wooden planking, with metal strips carrying guide markings running between them. It is exactly this difference of materials that makes the greatest impression on a model of an aircraft carrier, and a plastic deck does not capture it on its own.
A wooden deck in 1:350 scale and masking stencils with it for painting the markings and the metal areas. The set is prepared for the kit from the maker Trumpeter with the number 05604. The grain of the wood comes directly from the texture of the material, so on the finished model it changes with the angle of view, which paint cannot imitate.
Lay both the deck and the stencils on first and check whether they fit the outline of the kit part; adjust the edges before gluing. The base has to be flat, clean and degreased, or the deck will lift at the edges. The masking stencils are stuck on before spraying, not after drying, and are pulled off before the paint has fully cured, so that the edge does not tear. Protect the wooden area at the end according to the maker's directions; the way to fix it and the recommended varnish are given in the instructions supplied.
The model kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
