Eduard 1:350 USS Arizona 1941 is a photo-etched refining set for building the model of the American battleship USS Arizona in her 1941 condition. It is not a ship model but a brass accessory that replaces and completes the details of the base kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photo-etched refining set from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:350 scale. It is not a ship kit but a set of etched brass parts that are fitted onto a plastic model of USS Arizona in the matching scale. Photo-etch adds the fine features that cannot be injection-molded in plastic, for example railings, ladders, radars and other small details of the deck superstructure.
USS Arizona was an American battleship of the Pennsylvania class. She entered history on 7 December 1941, when she was sunk in the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. A model in her 1941 condition captures the ship as she looked just before that attack, which is the version of most interest both to collectors and historically.
Separate the parts carefully from the fret, clean them up and bend them with a bending tool or a ruler. They are glued with a small amount of super glue (cyanoacrylate). Before painting we recommend degreasing the photo-etch and spraying it with a primer so that the paint holds.
This is a refining accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
