MiG-21MF Fishbed J correct radome is a resin radar cover in 1:32 scale from Quickboost. It replaces the conical nose of the model with a part of the correct shape and profile.

This part is not an aircraft kit but a stand-alone resin casting that replaces the forward conical radar cover on a MiG-21MF model in 1:32 scale. The word correct in the name refers to the fact that on some plastic models the cone matches neither the shape nor the angle at which it blends into the fuselage, which is conspicuous in the aircraft silhouette. Swapping it for a resin part is one of the quickest ways to put the shape of a model right. Quickboost is an accessory range of the Czech maker Aires.
The MiG-21 is among the most widespread jet fighters of all time. The MF version was one of the most numerous and most widely exported variants, served in many countries including Czechoslovakia and was armed with a cannon and guided missiles on underwing pylons. The onboard radar was housed under the conical cover in the forward fuselage, and the cone itself also helped to regulate the airflow into the engine. The shape of this part is therefore not merely a cosmetic detail but a marked recognition feature of the particular version.
Cut the original plastic cone off with a saw as close to the parting line as possible and true the surface on abrasive paper laid on a board, so that the cut is square. Wash the resin part in warm soapy water, cut off the casting block and true the surface again. Check the alignment dry before gluing, as the part is easily glued crooked. Bond it with super glue, fill the seam with putty and sand it down. On these aircraft the cone is usually painted in a different shade from the surrounding airframe, so paint it before final assembly.
This is an add-on part, not an aircraft model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
