Turned metal gun barrels, MASTER 1:350 - the armament of USS Indianapolis CA-35 (1945). It is not a ship model but a set of accurate 8 inch and 5 inch barrels for a model of the heavy cruiser.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a ship model but a set of turned metal gun barrels in 1:350 scale from the Polish maker MASTER. The set contains nine barrels of 8 inch (203 mm) caliber for the main turrets and eight barrels of 5 inch (127 mm) caliber for the secondary armament. The metal barrels replace the plastic parts from a kit with accurate geometry, a sharp muzzle and a perfectly straight profile, which in plastic often warps. The set is made for the Academy model.
USS Indianapolis was an American heavy cruiser of the Portland class. In July 1945 it delivered components of the atomic bomb to Tinian and shortly afterwards was sunk by a Japanese submarine; the disaster, with the loss of most of the crew, is among the best known stories of the Pacific War. The set matches the 1945 configuration.
Cut the barrels off the remains of the casting and clean up the ends. Glue with cyanoacrylate. Degrease the metal before painting and apply a metal primer. The barrel muzzles are already drilled, so you get a realistic view into the barrel without laboriously drilling plastic.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
