An ETA diorama accessory for builders of scenes, not a kit of a vehicle. These are large-format signs and posters on Australian themes, that is the kind of thing that hangs overhead and on the gables of houses in a real street. In 1:35 scale they are large surfaces that will decide the look of a whole scene.
An empty wall is wasted surface in a diorama. A sign turns it into a carrier of a message, gives the scene color in a place where there would otherwise be only plaster, and at the same time conveys the period and the country. Large-format advertising can also be used as a guiding element of a composition: it draws the eye to where you want to direct the viewer.
A large surface will not stand carelessness. The base has to be flat, otherwise every unevenness will show on the sign, and the edges need a clean cut. Leave new advertising clean; older advertising, on the other hand, pays to age, because advertising exposed to the sun fades first. Consider also whether a sign should hang straight or slightly askew, which looks more credible in a run-down district. The transition between the sign and the wall is handled by gently blending the edges in, so that the surface does not look like a stuck-on rectangle.
