A set of pre-cut masking templates for the frames and the edges of the glazing on a model of the Audi R8 LMS racing car in the GT3 category, in 1:24 scale. It is an accessory for the build, not a kit. The masks are cut to the shape of this particular model, so they can be laid straight down and nothing has to be measured out.
The Audi R8 LMS is the racing form of the production coupe, built for the GT3 category, that is for cars with limited power and a balance of performance that run in both endurance and sprint series around the world. Compared with the road version it has a roll cage, reworked aerodynamics and racing glazing, so the window frames are prominent on the car and set off in a different color.
Degrease the glass and clear it of dust. Lay the mask down with tweezers and press the edge with a blunt tip so that no paint can creep under it. On curved surfaces work in stages and let the film follow the shape; do not pull it by force. Spray in thin coats and remove the mask shortly after it has dried. Fit the clear parts into the body last of all and glue them with an adhesive that does not fog the plastic.
The masks are supplied on their own; neither the paints nor the model are included in the package.
