1:20/1:24 Push button from Decalcas is a push button for the control panel of a racing car; two scales are given in the title, 1:20 and 1:24.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Push button accessory offers a control that is pressed in the car rather than flicked. Two scales are given in the title, so it allows both for formula cars in the larger 1:20 and for the more usual circuit and road models in 1:24. It is a standalone accessory for finishing an interior, not a kit of a car.
Starting the engine, switching on electrical circuits, the link to the pits or light signaling are all operated with a short press in a sports car. The buttons are therefore grouped on a panel within reach of the hand, often lined up in a row or in a cluster beside the steering wheel. It is precisely their layout that tells one car from another: a panel taken over from series production looks quite different from a board put together for the needs of one particular team.
Mark the positions on the panel with a fine pinprick before you reach for the glue; an uneven row catches the eye far more than an inaccurate shade does. The head will take a different color from the panel around it, and it is exactly that contrast that makes the control legible even in miniature. If you are adding further elements to the model, leave a gap between them matching a gloved finger on the real car. At the end, unify the panel with a darker tone in the gaps so that the individual pieces do not look stuck on.
