Delta HF Integrale White

Number Five Delta HF Integrale White

A modeling paint from the Spanish brand Number Five in a bottle of 30 milliliters. The shade is named after the white paint of the competition Lancia Delta HF Integrale, that is, after a particular car, and the whole range is set up so that a modeler does not have to mix a shade himself. The paint is supplied at a consistency ready for spraying with an airbrush.

How to work with the paint

• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles to the bottom
• The paint is ready for spraying and further thinning is usually not needed
• It should be thinned and cleaned up exclusively with the thinner and cleaner of the same brand
• Apply it in several thin coats, not in one heavy one
• White shades need more coats, so do not hurry and let each one flash off

What to watch out for

White is the most demanding shade there is to apply to a model. It covers worse than other paints and every irregularity of the ground shows under it, so sand the surface carefully beforehand and use a light primer. Do not spray heavy coats in an attempt to get coverage all at once, as that drowns edges and detail. Do not mix the paint with products of other brands until you have checked on an offcut that they get along.

Safety note

Work in a well-ventilated space and use a respirator when spraying, as an aerosol forms. Keep out of the reach of children and away from sources of ignition, close the bottle carefully after use and avoid contact with eyes and skin.
