The darker red F92A Red carries the name of the Ferrari F92A single-seater, with which the stable started in the Formula 1 season of 1992.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F92A Red shade belongs to the colors named after one particular racing car. The Ferrari F92A is a single-seater the stable does not look back on fondly, but among modelers it is sought out precisely for its unusual shape.
The F92A appeared in the 1992 season and differed from its rivals by a double floor with tunnels along the sides and a high-raised nose section. Under the bodywork worked a twelve-cylinder engine, and the drivers were Jean Alesi and Ivan Capelli. The expected turnaround never came, as the car did not master the season and won no race. During the year a reworked version with the gearbox mounted differently also appeared, but it made no difference to the results. In color it is the classic Italian racing red, complemented on the single-seater by white areas at the nose section and by black items. It is exactly the large continuous surfaces of the bodywork that make an even coat of paint the main theme of a build.
It aims at modelers of the formula cars of the 1990s who build season by season and want a shade matching the real subject on every car. It will also be appreciated by those interested in technically atypical solutions: the F92A is among the single-seaters that cannot be confused with anything else in a display case.
