A dark blue shade from the Number 5 brand, named after the Hyundai i20 rally car in WRC specification. A lighter variant is also offered under the designation i20 WRC Blue; both colors are separate items and differ in the saturation of the blue, so choose according to the subject you are building.
A rally special is not a smooth show car body. On it the paint sits next to large graphics, next to the black edging of the fenders and next to surfaces that are covered in dust after a stage. Dark blue is a rewarding ground for such work: the graphics stand out on it and dust or a light filter makes a noticeable difference. Beyond rally cars it will serve anywhere a saturated dark blue is needed.
Stir the container thoroughly before every use, as the pigment settles at the bottom. Spray in several thin coats and let the surface flash off between them; one heavy coat floods the gaps and gathers into runs at the edges. The thinning ratio and the recommended thinner are given in the manufacturer's instructions, and a thinner from another range can curdle the paint into grains. Before the graphics go on, seal the shade with clear varnish: on a smooth glossy surface a decal settles without silvering and the edges of the film later disappear under a further coat of varnish.
