Wheels for the Austin K2 Ambulance / K30 Truck, 1:35, CMK

A detailed resin set of replacement wheels, not a model of the vehicle. The wheels are cast with a fine tire texture and a weighted flat spot where they meet the road, which gives the vehicle a realistic settled look. Intended for the kits of the British Austin K2 ambulance and the K30 truck from Airfix.

Fitting tips

  • Wash the parts free of mold release agent and cut the casting blocks off.
  • Glue the wheels with cyanoacrylate glue.
  • Before gluing, take care that the flattened part is turned correctly downward.
  • Wear respiratory protection while sanding.

  • For modelers who want realistic wheels with the load suggested.
  • For builders used to working with resin.

The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the glue, the paints and the base model are not included in the package.

FAQ

The wheels have a slightly flattened casing where they meet the ground, as if carrying the weight of the vehicle. It looks more realistic than a perfect circle.

Cyanoacrylate glue. Ordinary cement for plastic does not hold on resin.
