This kit from the Dynamo-Models brand captures the French light anti-tank gun of 25 mm caliber, model 1934, in the Type II version, and in the standard version of the release. In 1:35 scale it is a small but immensely characteristic piece of armament that will add something to any diorama from the 1940 campaign.
The gun grew out of a Hotchkiss design and in the 1930s it became the standard anti-tank weapon of the French infantry. It stood out for its low silhouette and easy concealment; the small caliber was admittedly ceasing to be enough in 1940 against the most heavily armored targets, but against light and medium equipment it remained effective. Captured examples were later used by other armies as well, which opens a wide palette of subjects to modelers.
Separate the delicate parts of the carriage with a sharp blade and work without haste, as the thin struts are easily damaged. Let the base be a French khaki or olive, which you will bring to life with a light dry brush on the edges. Dust pigments on the wheels and the bottom of the carriage will settle the weapon naturally into the terrain of a diorama.
The gun is supplied broken down into parts, without paints and glue, which have to be obtained separately.
