Industrial windows with their typical grid division are the recognition mark of the factory halls, workshops and warehouses of the twentieth century. The Factory windows ver.A set from the Firma49 brand brings these characteristic fillings in 1:35 scale, so you can finally build a factory of your own without laboriously cutting the window frames out by hand. The extra is intended for building into walls of plastic, plaster or foam board that the builder prepares himself.
The frames will stand out when you set them apart in color from the masonry; a gray-green or rusting coat comes across credibly. You will imitate broken panes with pieces of clear foil with an irregular break, and black-brown pigment will manage the sooting above the windows. Do not forget the sills, where dust and running dirt collect; it is precisely there that patina shows most.
The second execution of the windows bears the designation ver.B, so the two sets can be alternated on one building.
Draw the opening in the wall out beforehand according to the frame and cut it with a small margin; any gap is then evened up with a thin strip of plastic or with filler. Seat the frames from inside the building, so that they are flush with the masonry from outside, and only then add the sill course.
