The photo-etched set Eduard RMS Titanic 1:400: fine metal parts for refining a model of the liner Titanic in 1:400 scale. It is not a model but an accessory for the Titanic kit (Academy).
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detail set for the RMS Titanic in 1:400 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not a model but a set of fine brass parts that replace the coarse plastic elements of the famous ocean liner. The set is designed for the Titanic kit from Academy in the same scale.
The RMS Titanic was a British ocean liner that sank in 1912 on her maiden voyage after striking an iceberg. The set brings above all very fine deck railings, steps and ladders, the elements that never look thin enough in plastic. Once they are replaced with etched parts, the promenade decks take on a faithful, delicate look.
Separate the parts from the fret carefully with a sharp knife or photo-etch scissors, make the bends according to the instructions (ideally on a photo-etch bending tool) and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate), because cement for plastic will not hold on metal. With long railings, patience pays off, and it is best to glue them in shorter sections. Glue long runs of deck railing step by step and keep checking that they stay straight. We suggest spraying the uncolored parts with primer and with a paint in the shade of the ship before fitting them.
The photo-etched set is an accessory, not a model. The ship kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
