An egg-plane caricature kit of the F/A-18F Super Hornet carrier aircraft. Plastic parts to glue together and paint; paints and glue are not part of the delivery.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F/A-18F Super Hornet is the two-seat version of the US Navy's carrier combat aircraft. Against the earlier Hornet series it has a bulkier fuselage, larger leading edge extensions and angular air intakes. A weapons systems operator sits in the rear cockpit, and the single-seat variant carries the designation F/A-18E.
This is an egg-plane kit, that is a deliberate caricature of the subject: the fuselage is shortened and inflated, the cockpit enlarged and the tail surfaces emphasized. The model therefore does not correspond to a reduction in a fixed scale and is built as a piece in its own right for a display case, not as an accompaniment to models in the usual scales.
Wash and degrease the parts before painting, and the paint will hold considerably better. Caricature shapes will take bolder painting than reductions do: richer shades and clearer transitions come out better on a small area than fine shading. Glue the joints one at a time and let them dry thoroughly, fill small gaps and sand them back. The make-up of the parts and the recommended paints are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Paints, glue and other building materials are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
