This resin set from RESArm offers a pair of external drop tanks with a capacity of 108 gallons, of the kind the P-51D Mustang fighter carried to extend its range on long-distance escort missions. The castings have a clean surface with no mold seams and a faithful shape of the teardrop body as well as of the suspension straps.
The tanks are a suitable replacement for, or addition to, the parts from the base kit and they fill the underwing pylons well. Before gluing, wash the parts clean of mold release agent residue and separate them from the sprue gates; use super glue for the assembly. Once a primer and paint have been sprayed on, they look realistic.
The package contains only the resin parts.
