A twin launch module, 9S846 Strelets, for very-short-range anti-aircraft missiles, in 1:48 scale. A universal resin accessory for helicopter kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The designation 9S846 Strelets denotes a Russian launch module for very-short-range anti-aircraft guided missiles. It is mounted on the pylons of attack and multi-role helicopters, giving them the ability to defend against an aerial target. The twin version of the module carries two missiles in transport tubes on a common beam.
The set provides a twin launch module as an underwing store for a plastic kit in 1:48 scale. The resin rendering holds the sharp edges of the tubes, their rounded fronts and the shape of the beam — details that injection-molded plastic generally cannot capture. The set is universal and is not tied to one specific kit, so it can be used with older releases too.
Level the mating surfaces before gluing and dry-fit the module to check how it sits on the pylon and whether it is aligned with the fuselage axis. It is glued with cyanoacrylate or epoxy glue; polystyrene cement does not bond here. Wash the surface, degrease it and prime it before applying the top color. The division between the tube and the beam stands out after light shading with a darker tone.
The module will be appreciated by modelers building a helicopter in full combat load who want more accurate underwing stores than the base kit offers. It also suits a diorama depicting an aircraft ready for takeoff. The package contains only the listed accessory parts. The model, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
