A resin wheel set from DEF Model for models of the American Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. The package holds faithfully detailed wheels with a fine tire tread and, in addition, a part for the muzzle of the nose cannon, which sharpens the aircraft's distinctive nose. This is not an aircraft kit but a stand-alone upgrade set.
The A-10 Thunderbolt II is a tough single-seat attack aircraft for close support of ground forces, famous for the massive rotary cannon in its nose and for its heavy landing gear. A good rendering of the wheels and of the cannon muzzle therefore belongs among the most noticeable details of a model.
Wash the parts, cut them off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue. The cannon muzzle is slender and fragile, so handle it with care. Paint the tires matte and bring them out with a dust shade, and set the hubs apart in color.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as separate resin parts. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
