Eduard 1:48 A-10A Thunderbolt II seatbelts STEEL replace missing or coarse plastic belts on the pilot's seat.
Responsibility details are not available.
A small separate item whose content is unambiguous from the name: belts for the seat, rendered in steel. In an open cockpit the seat tends to be the first thing a viewer looks at, and the plastic version usually looks far too thick. The metal version can be shaped so that it looks loosely draped over the edge.
On a ground-attack aircraft with a clearly visible pilot's station the eye concentrates on a few square centimeters. Steel sheet holds a bend without springing back, so it is possible to create a naturally rippled belt and a loosely hanging end as well. It is exactly the irregularity that plastic cannot manage that gives the cockpit credibility in scale. The difference shows above all in a close-up photograph, where a plastic molding gives itself away by rounded edges and excessive thickness.
Dry-fit the part on the seat before shaping it. Make the bends gradually and rather repeatedly than with one strong squeeze. Thread the belt through the buckle before you glue it, because in a finished cockpit there will be no room left for that. The metal surfaces are not meant to be sanded, as the surface appearance would be lost. Wipe excess glue away before it dries.
