The Douglas A-26 Invader was an American twin-engine attack and light bomber aircraft of the end of the Second World War. The A-26B version had a solid nose section with fixed gun armament instead of the glazed navigator's station, so it served above all for attacks on ground targets. The cockpit of this type was fairly roomy and well glazed, so it is conspicuously visible on a finished model. That is exactly why it is worth replacing the standard plastic fittings with a more detailed accessory.
First wash the cast parts in warm soapy water, so that the mold release residue comes off the surface, otherwise the paint will hold poorly. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or sand them away; do not snap them off. Sand with your airways protected and preferably wet. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, ideally a gel, so that there is time to seat the part. Paint and weather the cockpit completely before you join the fuselage halves, as you will not get to it later. The instrument panels come out well with a dark wash and drybrushing along the edges, and the glazing only needs a light tint.
