A more extensive photo-etched set from Eduard for a 1:48 model of the Douglas A-4C Skyhawk carrier-based attack aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A fret of photo-etched metal parts for building a 1:48 model of the Douglas A-4C Skyhawk carrier-based attack aircraft. It is an accessory for a plastic kit: thin metal stands in where the sheet metal should really be thin and where a molded part necessarily comes out thicker. The code belongs to the more extensive photo-etched range, not to the narrower Zoom set.
The A-4C followed on from the A-4B version and brought equipment with which the aircraft could also operate in worse conditions. The basic idea stayed untouched: the lowest possible weight, a delta wing that did not fold and simple maintenance on deck. Skyhawks in this form became ordinary equipment on American aircraft carriers and many machines served on for a long time after further modifications.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface, sand off what is left of the fret tab and work over a light-colored surface; a small metal part is hard to find on the floor. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), as polystyrene cement will not bond metal. Make the bends in a photo-etch bender or between two blades. Before painting, wash the metal, degrease it and apply a primer.
For builders of American carrier aircraft who want to take a model to contest standard. The manufacturer also makes the narrower Zoom set of the same name under the code FE1475, so go by the code. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
