TS-94 Metallic Gray

Tamiya TS-94 Metallic Gray, metallic spray 100 ml

This is a metallic synthetic lacquer in a spray can, not a water-thinnable acrylic. The TS range is for general use. The Metallic Gray shade is a gray metallic with fine metal pigments that give the surface a metallic sheen. It suits bodies, frames, engines and technical parts. The 100 ml can will cover roughly two or three bodies in 1:24 scale or the equivalent area on other models.

Use

• Shake a metallic very thoroughly before spraying, because the metal pigment settles at the bottom and has to be mixed in completely.
• The metallic effect comes out on a smooth, finely sanded base; a dark or gloss base coat beforehand is ideal.
• Spray from a distance of 25 to 30 cm in thin layers, otherwise you get patches and an uneven sheen.
• Apply a metallic rather at the end, because it is harder to overspray and to mask than opaque paints.
• Once it has dried, details can be finished with acrylic or enamel, which will not attack the lacquer.

Contains flammable solvents. Use only in a well-ventilated area, away from open flame, and use respiratory protection. It is thinned with lacquer thinner, not with water.
