Eduard 1:48 A6M2 engine complete PRINT is a 3D printed set of the complete radial engine with removable cowlings for a model of the Zero.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory from Eduard in 1:48 scale made by direct 3D printing. The set contains the complete radial engine of the Japanese A6M2 Zero fighter including the engine cowlings and additional parts, so it makes an open presentation of the power unit possible.
The Zero is powered by an air-cooled Nakajima Sakae radial engine. The 3D print faithfully captures the cylinders, the finning, the lines and the auxiliary piping. The model can be built with the cowling swung open or removed, putting the engine on show as the technically most interesting feature of the whole machine.
Separate the parts from the print supports and clean them up. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), and sand with respiratory protection. Paint the engine in stages: metallic shades for the cylinders, darker blocks and fine colored lines; a final wash and drybrushing will bring out the relief.
