1:48 Aces Legacy Focke-Wulf 190 A-5 Premium Edition is a kit of the German Fw 190 A-5 fighter from AMMO of Mig Jimenez, released in the richer of the two editions of the Aces Legacy range.

The Aces Legacy range builds on combining a well-tooled airframe with accessories that a modeler otherwise obtains separately. That is exactly the point of the Premium Edition designation: the brand offers the same aircraft in two levels of equipment and this is the more extensive of the two. Anyone who wants to build straight from the box and does not want to hunt for extra upgrades will reach for it.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 brought a different approach to the front from the slender liquid-cooled fighters: a radial engine, a wide landing gear track and exceptionally good handling at high speed. The A-5 version came about after the designers moved the engine mounting forward, which gave better balance and room for further equipment. It served in 1943 in the west and on the Eastern Front and became the basis for a whole wave of specialized modifications.
German fighter camouflage of that time rests on soft transitions between gray-blue shades, so an airbrush at low pressure and heavily thinned paint pay off. Finish the cockpit and the engine compartment and shade them before you close the fuselage. Spray a gloss varnish compatible with the chemicals you use before the decals, bring out the panel lines once it has dried and finally unify the surface with a matte overcoat.
The box contains raw components for building, not a finished aircraft; deal with chemicals and shades separately.
