This resin detail set brings a convincing rendering of the nose sensor systems of the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter in 1:48 scale. It is not a helicopter kit but a standalone accessory for superdetailing that replaces the simplified plastic parts of the sensor turret.
The TADS (target acquisition and designation sight) and PNV (pilot night vision) systems make up the characteristic rotating turrets under the nose of the Apache. It is precisely this electro-optical assembly that lets the helicopter find and designate targets by day and by night, and it is one of the most conspicuous features of its nose.
Wash the mold release off the resin parts and cut them from the casting blocks. Fit the fine sections with super glue. The optical windows come into their own once painted and, if you wish, glazed with a gloss varnish or a drop of clear resin.
The detail set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
