This is not an airplane model but a resin detail set from the Brassin range by the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It contains a finely cast American AN/ALQ-131 electronic countermeasures pod in the deeper (deep) variant, with which you complete the external stores of a combat aircraft model in 1:48 scale.
The resin pod faithfully captures the characteristic shape of the housing along with the small antennas and cooling elements. The AN/ALQ-131 was carried on a range of American combat aircraft, for example the A-7, A-10, F-4, F-16 and F-111, so the set will serve builders of many different machines. It is fitted to a pylon or the centerline station in place of the part from the box.
Wash the mold release agent off the part, cut off the casting block and glue it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Applying a primer improves paint adhesion. The pod usually carries a different shade from the airframe, so it is worth masking it and spraying it separately.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
