This engine set from Aires in 1:48 scale adds faithfully rendered turbojets and the related features of the engine nacelles to an Arado Ar 234B Blitz model. It is made up of resin parts, as a rule rounded off with photo-etched details. It is an accessory for a kit, not a complete model.
The Arado Ar 234B Blitz is a German twin-engine jet aircraft of the end of the Second World War, used as a fast bomber and a reconnaissance machine. It is regarded as the first jet bomber put into operational service. It was powered by Junkers Jumo 004 turbojets in underwing nacelles, which are a rewarding subject for a detailed installation.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). It is advisable to finish and paint the engine installation before closing the nacelle, so that the interior detail shows.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
