Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from the manufacturer Roden captures the German biplane fighter Arado Ar 68E in 1:48 scale. It is a modern set at the level of good short-run kits, with a finely engraved surface, the relief of the fabric covering of the upper wing and decals for several finishes. The model will be appreciated above all by lovers of interwar aviation hardware.
The Arado Ar 68 was a single-seat biplane fighter that arose as the successor to the He 51 type. The Ar 68E version was powered by a Junkers Jumo V12 engine. It was one of the last biplane fighters of the Luftwaffe; the machines reached Spain as well, and some of them served after withdrawal from the front line as night fighters and trainers.
With a biplane, pay attention to the precise setting of the struts and braces between the wings and to the tensioning of the rigging. Bond the plastic with a thin modeling cement and bring out the control surfaces and the fabric covering with fine shading. Lay on a primer before painting and use an airbrush for even coverage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
