1:48 B-17F LööKplus is a combined add-on set from Eduard for a model of the B-17F bomber in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a package of parts for raising the level of detail on a finished model.

At Eduard the LööKplus range is conceived as a package that brings several separately sold accessories together in one box. The core of the range is a resin instrument panel with a color print complemented by seat belts, to which further resin parts intended for the same aircraft type are added. The set on its own does not make a model: it is intended to complete a plastic B-17F kit in 1:48 scale. The particular composition of the package is stated by the manufacturer on the packaging of the set, so go through it before building and compare it with the parts of your kit.
The Boeing B-17F Flying Fortress was an American four-engine heavy bomber used in the Second World War. It differed from the earlier E version above all in the one-piece transparent nose without transverse framing and in a series of partial changes to the powerplant and the armament. The aircraft was marked by a high-set wing of large area, long range and extensive glazing, which on a model exposes the interior to view from outside, and that is exactly why add-on sets pay off on it.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release residue. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw or a cutting disc, never snap them. Protect your airways when sanding resin and sand it wet. The parts are bonded with super glue, because cement for plastic has no effect on resin. Do not spray over the printed surfaces and do not sand them: the print is the final finish and once dry it only needs protecting with matte varnish.
The set is an accessory for a plastic model, not a kit in its own right. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
