An Eduard photo-etched set aimed at the cockpit of the plastic model of the Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress bomber in 1:48 scale. It is not a model but an accessory in thin etched sheet that replaces and completes the equipment of the flight deck. The parts printed in color are ready for immediate use.
The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress was an American four-engined heavy bomber of the Second World War. The B-17G version was the most numerous and carried a chin turret with a pair of machine guns for defense against head-on attacks by fighters. The machine became a symbol of daylight strategic bombing over Europe.
The photo-etched parts refine the instrument panel, the side consoles, the seats, the belts and other cockpit features that are only suggested in plastic. The parts are separated with a sharp knife and bonded with super glue, and the color surfaces are not painted over.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a whole model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
