An accessory pack for a model of the B-24D Liberator in 1:48 scale from the Czech firm Eduard, offered as the second part. It is not an aircraft kit but a set of accessories for a model you have already bought.
Responsibility details are not available.
The pack brings together several Eduard accessory sets for a model of the American B-24D Liberator bomber in 1:48 scale. It is neither an aircraft model nor a substitute for one; the accessories are fitted to a kit you have already bought. Check what exactly the pack contains against the details given on the box. The first part is sold as a separate item.
The Consolidated B-24 Liberator was a four-engined heavy bomber with a high-mounted slender wing and twin vertical tail surfaces. The B-24D version was among the first mass-produced forms, and machines from it keep returning to the modeling range above all because of the intricate interior of the fuselage, the long bomb bay and the richly glazed nose. It is these parts that photo-etched accessories benefit the most.
Fit the accessories as the build progresses, not onto a finished model: once the fuselage is closed up you will no longer reach most of the detail. Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface, bend them in a bender or over a steel rule and glue them with cyanoacrylate, or with two-part epoxy, which gives time to line them up. First cut away carefully the plastic detail the photo-etch replaces and sand the surface back. Unpainted metal parts need a filler primer, or the paint will hold badly on them.
