1:48 B-25G Mitchell: cuts for the frames of the cockpit greenhouse and the glazing around it. The G version with a gun in the nose has its glazing arranged differently from the bombing variants.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of cuts for the framing of the glazed areas of the B-25G Mitchell medium bomber in 1:48 scale. The greenhouse above the cockpit is made up of a larger number of flat panes and side windows and other glazing on the fuselage are added to it, so by hand it would be a long afternoon with tape and a scalpel.
While ordinary Mitchells carried a glazed bombardier station at the front, the G version replaced it with a shortened solid nose with a 75 mm cannon. It was one of the largest weapons regularly built into a production aircraft of its day. It was loaded by hand, several seconds passed between rounds, but a single hit could put a smaller vessel out of action. That is exactly why the G version was used mainly over the Pacific and in Burma against shipping and harbor targets. Supplementary fire forward was provided by machine guns built into the nose and along the sides of the fuselage.
Natural metal and an olive finish alike call for a smooth base, so check the frames before applying the cuts and level any flash. Apply the shade of the interior as the first coat and the top color only once it has cured. Spray the windows on the sides of the fuselage separately, so that the paint does not build up in the corner between the frame and the skin.
